Chamber ensemble INTERMEZZO is a group consisting of musicians playing 12 string instruments.
Music of various epochs forms repertoire of the ensemble, from sparkling A. Vivaldi symphonies, J. S. Bach concertos, V. A. Mozart compositions, to S. Joplin ragtimes, A. Piazzolla tangos and F. Sinatra songs.
Soloists G. Skerytė, A. Krikščiūnaitė, V. Noreika, V. Juozapaitis, I. Misiūra and others have given concerts with the ensemble.
The ensemble gave concerts in Tallinn, Vilnius Concert Hall of the National Philharmonic Society of Lithuania, Christmas concert at Vilnius Town Hall, etc.
In 2005, the Small Simfonietta INETRMEZZO was invited to play the opening concert at the Saaremaa Opera Festival (Estonia).
The ensemble interprets classical music in a new and creative way.
